This build is no longer up to date and will not be updated to the current patches! I can answer questions but I have been working on my MAGBLADE and thats what will have updated info.

So I get on the forums daily and I never see any new or even updated sorc builds, so I'm gonna share mine (65% of the originality and research was done by Jinsoku_akki).

This is a Horns of the Reach Build, come Dragon Bones I’ll do my best to update accordingly.

This is a magicka sorc, with all 64 attribute points in magicka.

Here is my Stat Sheet, blue CP150 Max Magicka and Health food, this is with Power Surge (provide major sorcery, 20% increase to our Spell Damage stat), and the Apprentice Mundus Stone. Also I am a Vampire stage 4

Active Effects

My Equipment

Weapon Bar 1: Lightning Staff of the Infallible Aether, Nirnhoned, Flame Enchant

Weapon Bar 2: The Maelstrom's Lightning Staff, Infused, Weapon Damage Enchant

Head: Ilambris's Visage (heavy), Divines, Magicka Enchant

Shoulders: Ilambris's Arm Cops (medium), Divines, Magicka Enchant

Chest: Robe of Julianos (light), Divines, Magicka Enchant

Hands: Gloves of Julianos (light), Divines, Magicka Enchant

Waist: Sash of Julianos (light), Divines, Magicka Enchant

Legs: Breeches of Julianos (light), Divines, Magicaka Enchant

Feet: Shoes of Julianos (light), Divines, Magicka Enchant

Necklace: Necklace of the Infallible Aether, Spell Damage Enchant

Ring: Ring of the Infallible Aether, Spell Damage

Ring: Ring of the Infallible Aether, Spell Damage

If you don't have access to Infallible Aether, Netches Touch, Necropotence, Mother's Sorrow, Moondancer, Master Architect, or Willpower jewelry are interchangeable. You can replace both staves Julianos staves and rearrange accordingly.

Skills

I believe in learning all the passives (Class Skill, Mages Guild, Racial, and literally every other passive I can get my grubby points into)

Bar 1: Daedric Prey, Inner Light, Hardened Ward, Twilight Matriarch, Volatile Familiar Ultimate: Shooting Star

Bar 2: Liquid Lightning, Elemental Blockade, Volatile Familiar, Twilight Matriarch, Power Surge Ultimate: Elemental Rage

Alternatively, you can replace Hardened Ward with Elemental Drain for parsing, you can use spell power pots and replace Power Surge with Inner Light so you have two (one on each bar)(if you have inner light double barred, you can also replace them with Bound Aegis)

Rotation

Here is my rotation

Liquid Lighting > Light Attack (LA) > Elemental Bloackade > LA > Volatile Familiar > Barswap > Daedric Prey > Heavy Attack > Repeat

Elemental Rage Ultimates whenever they're up, Shooting Stars are great when you need an ulitmate faster than Elemental Rage (Thunderous Rage) Ulti

For this parse I used Inner Light on both bars as well as switching my Mundus to The Lover. For parsing it's ok to switch your Mundus to Lover do emulate group penetration bonuses.

CP Allotment

For those who aren't max CP yet I'll put a star 🌟 next to the really important points. The Blue tree is the only important one for damage, the others are all discretionary. I will still put stars 🌟 by ones that will help you stay alive.

thanks for posting this. gonna try it out and see if it helps me suck a little less on my mag sorc! :)
Death is a primitive concept; I prefer to think of them as battling evil - in another dimension!

That is basically what I run, albeit not as well, though I don't have the Maelstrom or IF gear, so I'm running 5/5 necro/julianos with an iceheart helm, will eventually get an ilambris light shoulder and then have to make some hard choices on how much of the necro set to give up.

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to run Necropotence. This and Jins pet build is very similar to Infalliable Infinite Wizard/Aether build that's been kicking around for a long time and I am glad to see people are having success with that build, it means my Sorc is still relevant! lol. With that said, the IIA dude moved on from Necropotence to Netch's Touch though where it looks like Martin has opted for Julianos (which is definitely easier to get). Having used the mentioned build in the past, it really made the majority of VMA a joke for those that were looking to do it (outside of the ice stage and to some extent the poison one... but those are really about knowing the stage instead of face rolling it, which this build can do for a lot of it).

What you said is perfectly accurate, it's very similar to Infallibe Infinite or Yolo Wizard's stuff since all MagSorc Meta is very similar. I Just opted to run Juli because i get slightly better returns on my heavy attacks, something I focus a lot in this build. I made sure to mention alternative sets for posterity sake though. Also using Twilight isn't really considered meta, so take from it what you will. I just found something I liked and wanted to share.

Well don't have all the gear but am geared with Juli's and Netch's Touch, though I could use the NT Necklace yet. I am using two Juli's Lightning Staff's So If'/ when I get the necklace I could run a monster helm (I have Illiana's head and shoulders both medium currently. So if I dawn those I will not have 2 Five Piece. I would expect I would drop I piece of Julis to stack the Shock damage..

I have been wanting to add an animal to this set up for the damage so I can implement much of what you described.

Thanks,
Jake

I'm running Netch's and Necropotence for pve, Necro and Infallible Aether for trials right now. My stats are higher then Marteene's but he is a much better player and consistently does more DPS :)

Also a question on the bars, I need to run an armor/shield for when I am soloing so which of the creatures do I drop? the volatile familiar?

Hopefully a final stupid question. Instead of power surge, use Entropy which does magic damage, heals and increases spell damage by 20% for 20 seconds, then the Passive Might of the guild has a the additional ability of increasing damage of next direct attack by 20% for 5 seconds. I assume you tried this and found your method superior, but I was thinking this direct would be easier for me, and easier for me translates to more successful.

Sorry just trying to learn.

I would suggest always using Power Surge over Entropy since you will get a pretty consistent heal from Surge. I also suggest using Hardened Ward for solo situations. If soloing I would use Volatile Familiar since it
does more damage. Use 5 piece Netch's Touch and 5 piece Julianos; or 5 Julianos, 3 piece Willpower Jewelry, and a 2 piece monster set.

Here's my Pet Sorcerer Setup:

Head - Medium Illambris
Shoulders - Light Illambris
Chest - Heavy Julianos
Legs - Light Julianos
Hands - Light Necropotence
Waist - Light Julianos
Feet - Light Necropotence
Rings - Both Necropotence
Neck - Necropotence
Staff - Julianos Lightning Staff, Julianos Fire Staff

So that puts me at 5 Necropotence, 4 Julianos and the Illambris set. I run Infused on Chest and Legs, Divines on the rest. I occasionally will swap in Julianos shoulders. I also have a Julianos Resto staff that I use from time to time in the event I want to lend a hand with some heals. I also will put on Iceheart helm if I want to bump my crit. If I want to easily swap out of being a Pet Summoner to focus on casting, I will swap Necropotence gear for Netch's Touch and change abilities accordingly.

I run High Elf race and generally use Max Magicka Mundus stone buff, occasionally switching to Magicka Recovery. For food, it's tough to top Witchmother's Brew and Salmon Millet Soup.

Front bar - Daedric Prey, Volatile Familiar, Elemental Blockade, Liquid Lightning, Twilight Familiar, Shooting Star
Back bar - FLEX spot, Volatile Familiar, Mages Wrath, Inner Light, Twilight Familiar, Elemental Rage

Flex spot can be used for anything from Force Pulse, Clench, Pulsar. Sometimes I will swap the Twilight for Bound Aegis if I want that extra Max Magicka boost and slight increase to resistances, or other times change out Inner Light for Hardened Ward. Elemental Rage ultimate is swappable with Storm Attronach depending on situation.

To my surprise, I don't see as many people as I originally thought running Mages Wrath. I generally keep this on my back bar and use it as my spammable as soon as a boss gets into that 20% range to nuke them down quickly. It usually ends up in my top two or three combat abilities for calculating DPS after a fight.

There's a lot of flexibility with this build between gear and abilities to better serve whatever immediate need you have for what's in front of you.
Merlin Pendragon - Uther Pendragon - The Lady of the Lake - Sir Lancelot
